I am Bonnie Bertelsen. My husband,
Paul, and I have always had cats in
our life, but the majority of them
have been strays and rescues. In
2002, I decided to start showing my
cats. I started with HHPs in ACFA. I
registered Bonnie's KATZ Cat Haven
with ACFA and started showing HHPs.
In April of 2003, I got a BSH Alter
named Remington (Remy) and started
showing him with my HHPs. While
showing, I have been looking at all
the breeds available and in 2006, I
decided that I wanted a Ragdoll
Alter to show. I started working
with Lynne Chmelar of CelesTrail
Cats to get a Ragdoll. Finally, in
December 2007, I got my first two
Ragdoll male Alters: Silvrstream (a
blue lynx mitted boy) and Lionheart
(a blue lynx bicolor boy).

In 2008 I decided that I wanted to
breed Ragdolls because of their
personality and beauty. I like that
they want to be with you but not
always on you. They will greet you
at the door when you come home and
follow you from room to room. They
also like to purr a lot. They are a
very beautiful breed. I also like
that they get to be a large but very
affectionate cat.
I registered my cattery with ACFA,
CFA and TICA as AziziPurz. Azizi is
Egyptian meaning precious so my
cattery name means precious purrs.
In August 2008 I got my seal mitted
girl, Feathertail, and in October
2008 I got my blue mitted girl,
Bluestar. They are my foundation
gueens and will be able to have
their first litters in 2009.
I want to thank Lynne
Chmelar from CelesTrail Cats for all
her help with
getting started with the
Ragdolls. I also want to thank
Shelley Wood of Arctic Blue Ragdolls
for all her help with showing
Ragdolls and getting started with a
cattery. I wouldn't be where I am
without their help and guidance.
